Mechanicville Elementary Principal Mr. Marra and Secretary Donna Rose are take every advantage to discuss with students, the changes to the flag as States joined the Union with students. Donna Rose explains the flag of 1859 added one star when Oregan became a State while Mr. Marra shows the students the flag of 1890 added 5 stars as Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington become States.
